To start your registration, click on the 'Register' link in the left navigation bar. The registration process takes place in three phases.
Phase 1. A page will be displayed containing links to the 'Rules of Netiquette' and 'Code of Conduct'. Please read them carefully, and indicate your agreement by clicking on the 'I agree' button situated at the bottom of the page.
Phase 2. A new page will be displayed. Please provide your first name (no more than 20 characters), last name (no more than 30 characters), country, email, user name (no more than 10 characters), and password (10 to 20 characters) by filling the form in the upper part of the page. All fields in the form have to be filled in. In the lower part of the page, you may subscribe to one or more of the following Special Interest Groups, by selecting them. When you are ready, click the 'Send registration' button at the bottom of the page.
Phase 3. Upon successful registration, a page displaying your data will be displayed and you will also receive an email acknowledgment with all your registration details for future reference. Once you sign, you can modify your personal information through the 'myProfile' link. If you are an invited member of a SIG, you can access the AAATE SIGs immediately. If you have indicated that you wish to join certain SIGs, you will be notified by email and will be able to access their pages once your participation is approved by the SIG moderators.Top of the page
- Is it possible to prevent others seeing my email?
If you want your email address not to be used by other SIG members for communication, click the Privacy Option's checkbox (by default this checkbox is marked, which means the user's email address is visible by other SIG members). Top of the page
- What if I forgot my password and/or my AAATE username?
You can receive your username and your password by email at any time. Visit the 'Forgot your password' page and supply some basic verification information, such as your username or email that you provided when you registered. Make sure to provide the same information you gave during registration or when you last updated your account. Without the correct verification information, you will not be able to obtain a new password. Top of the page
- What is the purpose of the Privacy Option?
Since the main purpose of this portal is communication, by default the checkbox "Let other members see my e-mail address" is checked, meaning that your email is available to registered members of the SIG. If you do not wish your e-mail to be available, uncheck this checkbox.Top of the page

- Why is registration information important?
Accurate information is important in case you ever forget your username or password. If you have entered any of this information incorrectly, it will not be possible for you to be reminded of your username and password. Using the 'MyProfile' you can change or update this information at any time.Top of the page
